Box-shaped oak case with leather handle; stenciled inscriptions on left side in white text on black background "I.M.56" on back in grey paint "IRT"; both back and right side of case with large handwritten "X" in white paint.; four inscribed groups of celluloid contacts on top of case; inscriptions describe electrical information; two of the contacts are painted red. Case front with inscriptions stamped into wood at top; front with opening and circular glass pane over paper indication panel with manufacturer's name and serial number; printed ruled measure with numerical inscriptions in intervals of 20 with a range from 0 to 340; black metal indication needle at center of panel.
