Description Switch Puller from Lawrence Street Power Substation (IRT).
This high tension switch stick enabled subway substation operators to disconnect switches carrying up to 19,000 volts (AC).
Lance type puller with wood pole and copper funnel shield mounted at mid-point.
Copper funnel used to deflect possible electric arcs.
