Description Fuse for Potential Transformer removed from Power Substation # 11 (IRT) in 1999. Specialized fuse's interior is filled with Carbon Tetrachloride. The liquid, when released, was to extinguish the electrical arc.
Slender glass cylindrical tube with a cylindrical brass caps at each end. A coiled solid copper wire runs the length of the fuse and surrounds two copper wire cables that connect to brass caps.
