Description Chemical Laboratory of the Board of Transportation located at 960 Carroll Street in Brooklyn, NY. Typewritten description on back of photograph reads: Paint Room. The photograph shows Blaise Budai, Chemist, distilling a sample of turpentine. Sam Leffert, Chemist, at right, is shown examining paint panels which have just been removed from the Weatherometer, which is used in determining durability. To the left, on the laboratory table, are a rack for paint panels, a dip coater for preparing paint panels, and apparatus for making gas tests on paints.
