Subway car card that is part of the series "New York by Rehberger." Gustav Rehberger was an artist who created a series of car cards for the New York Subways Advertising Company in 1948 about various New York landmarks.
The car card is double sided. One side says "Poor Man's Bank is Hebrew Free Loan Society102 2nd Avenue Makes Loans Without Interest Or Other Charges, Regardless of Race, Creed or Color Founded in 1892 By Immigrants" with a pen and ink illustration of the Hebrew Free Loan Society building. The verso says "George Washington Bridge is America's Second Largest Main Cables Contain More Than 105,000 Miles of Steel Wire - Enough to Encircle the World 4 Times at Equator" with a pen and ink illustration of the bridge.
