Modern-day Fordham Plaza is bounded by E. Fordham Road, 3rd Avenue, E. 189th Street, and Washington Avenue. Fordham Plaza was a busy thoroughfare for trolleys, and the current Metro-North station was previously a stop on the New York Central (and even later, Penn Central).
