Scope & Content Subway car card that is part of the series "New York by Rehberger." Gustav Rehberger was an artist who created a series of car cards for the New York Subways Advertising Company in 1948 about various New York landmarks.

The car card is double sided. One side says "Church Entirely For the Deaf, at 74th Street Jackson Heights, Queens Gives Two Sunday Services: 11.00 AM - For Lipreaders 3.00 PM - For those Who Use The Sign Language" with a pen and ink illustration of the Church. The verso says "Washington Arch, Completed in 1892, at Lower End of 5th Avenue, Stands On Site of Old Potter's Field And Public Gallows. Criminals Hung There in Early 19th Century" with a pen and ink illustration of the Arch.
